Balearics tourists spend €4.145 million in July

International tourists spent €4.145 million in the Balearic Islands in July, even as arrivals barely moved. The islands drew 2.569 million overseas visitors, only 0.12% more than a year earlier. Spain’s National Statistics Institute released the figures on Tuesday.

The Balearic Islands took 22.3% of all international arrivals to Spain that month, making them the country’s leading main destination. They also accounted for 22.8% of total visitor spending, the largest share of any Spanish region.

Spending rose 8.3% from July 2025, far faster than visitor numbers. Average spend per tourist reached 1,613 euros, up 8.2%, while the average trip lasted 6.2 days, a 1.4% increase.

From January to July, the islands received nearly 9.164 million international tourists, 1.85% more than in the same period a year earlier. Only Catalonia received more, with 11.9 million arrivals, while the Canary Islands recorded 9 million.
