Responsible for this content: Frank Menze

On Mallorca, Manacor’s Municipal School of Mallorcan marks the centenary of writer Blai Bonet’s birth with a concert on 29 October and a discussion on 30 October. The hybrid concert, ‘L’amor, la set’, brings together Maria Adrover, Pau Pascual and Juanjo Montserrat. Manacor Town Council says it draws on water, desire, the sea and thirst — four elements in the work of the poet from Santanyí, Mallorca.

The next day, poets Bernat Nadal and Glòria Julià join Pau Vadell, curator of the Blai Bonet Year, for a discussion titled ‘Tenia quasi verda la paraula’. They will explore different readings of Bonet’s work, his obsessions and his more personal side, including his zest for life.
