Body found in waters off Port Adriano, Mallorca

A body in an advanced state of decomposition was found floating in the waters off Port Adriano in Calvià, Mallorca, on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. The Guardia Civil is investigating the circumstances of the discovery.

Specialists from the Guardia Civil’s Underwater Activities Group have been deployed to assist the inquiry. Initial lines of investigation include the possibility that the person was a migrant who died after a small boat sank while attempting to reach the Balearic Islands.
