Mallorca opens four €1,800 Brussels training grants
Four university graduates can apply from Wednesday for Brussels training grants worth €1,800 gross a month. The Balearic government is offering four places for 2027, with applications closing on 22 September 2026.
The programme starts with one week at the Foundation Baleares Europa (FIBE) in Palma, Mallorca. There, recipients will learn about the foundation’s work and the external action unit of the Directorate-General for Institutional Relations and Relations with Parliament.
They will then work at the Balearic Islands Office in Brussels until 31 December 2027. The placement offers a close look at how European Union institutions operate, including meetings or conferences, and work alongside technical staff from the Conselleria sent to Brussels and Spain’s Permanent Representation to the European Union.
The grants last up to 12 months. Current recipients finish in December 2026, with the new group due to begin in January 2027.
FIBE pays the €1,800 gross monthly allowance. Applications, together with the required documents, must be submitted electronically through the Balearic Islands Government’s online portal.
