Balearic business formations rise to 3,000 by July

PALMA, Balearic Islands — Business formations in the Balearic Islands rose 6% to 3,000 by July, according to figures from Informa D&B released on 21 August. Capital invested to establish the companies increased 20% since January to €71 million.
Investment and July figures
Companies registered in July accounted for €7 million in paid-in capital, 11% less than in the same month of the previous year. Overall figures have risen 13% so far this year, although they fell 11% during July.
Construction and property lead registrations
Construction and property activities recorded the highest number of new companies, with 963 registrations through July. Business services followed with 557, while hospitality recorded 376 and trade 289.
