Lending across Spain

New lending to hotel and tourist-accommodation companies across Spain totalled €2.5 billion in the first half of 2026. CaixaBank completed more than 2,300 credit transactions nationwide.

The bank said it channelled €19 billion into the tourism industry between 2020 and 2025, supporting expansion, modernisation and measures intended to strengthen competitiveness.

Uses of the funding

The latest financing was mainly used to refurbish and update properties, as well as to acquire hotel assets. It also covered innovation and sustainability projects and companies’ working-capital and operational requirements.

At the end of the first half of 2026, CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism managed a loan portfolio exceeding €10.5 billion and served more than 13,800 tourist-accommodation clients.
