Mallorca car crash kills one as vehicle hits tree

A car crash on Mallorca kills one person and injures two others on 31 August after their vehicle leaves the road, overturns and hits a tree. The person who died was trapped inside the wreckage and died at the scene. The Balearic Islands' SAMU emergency service says a 41-year-old passenger was seriously hurt and a 35-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
The 41-year-old suffered severe multiple trauma and was taken by ambulance to Son Espases University Hospital. The 35-year-old was taken to Manacor Hospital.
SAMU sent two ambulance teams to the crash: one advanced life-support unit and one basic life-support unit.
