Celestí Alomar, the former Balearic tourism minister, died on Monday aged 76. The Federación Empresarial Hotelera de Mallorca, the island’s hotel association, offered condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues.
In a social-media message, the association said Alomar’s interests extended beyond tourism, although he devoted much of his political work to that field. It remembered him as a politician with a wide range of concerns.
