Ceuta gets €25m for migrant children in Madrid vote

Ceuta will receive 25 million euros to care for migrant children after Spain’s government and regional authorities approved the funding in Madrid on Thursday, 27 August. Every region represented at the meeting backed the measure.
The Conference for Childhood and Adolescence had only one item on its agenda: the special funding for Ceuta. The Ministry of Youth and Childhood said the agreement won unanimous support from all the autonomous communities present.
Aragón, Extremadura and Castile and León did not attend. Catalonia, Navarre, the Canary Islands and Madrid took part in person, while the other participating regions joined online.
