Up to €100 towards children’s glasses in Spain: the aid now runs until 31 December 2027, unless its budget runs out first. The extension, published on Thursday 22 October 2026, covers children younger than 17 who meet the scheme’s requirements. It applies to prescription glasses, lenses and contact lenses, including the solution needed to care for contacts.

The €100 limit includes VAT. Spain’s official gazette published the extension of the Plan Veo scheme, which has a budget of €141.45 million.

Spain’s Ministry of Health says 325,661 children have received aid in 2026 through 7,718 participating opticians. It had initially expected 194,895 recipients. For aid in 2026, 2027 or 2028, at least a year must have passed since the last purchase funded by the scheme.
