Mallorca: Coalició names Inca leaders, flags housing
Housing and urban growth in Inca, Mallorca: Coalició per Mallorca names Gloria Ferrari and Francesc Garcias to coordinate its local council as it presents its political project on Thursday, 15 October.
At a press conference, the pair say they want to bring El PI together with other parties, groups and independents in an open political alliance. Garcias points to access to housing, pressure on the town, the quality of public services and mobility. He also wants better planning for Inca’s growth, a more effective town council and a better quality of life.
Ferrari calls for better public services and infrastructure, support for shops, businesses and community groups, and more open politics. She also wants to protect the land and Mallorca’s identity, and give the island more say over its decisions.
Coalició per Mallorca’s general coordinator, Joan Serra, says the Inca team is part of the party’s effort to build a local presence. Its candidate for the Balearic Parliament, Pere Sánchez, wants to bring in more people and local projects ahead of the next municipal and regional elections.
