A reinforced door and two escapes

The Spanish National Police say the outlet served buyers around the clock. Its only entrance had an armoured door with reinforced iron bolts, while security cameras pointed towards the street.

Investigators from the Drugs and Organised Crime Unit, helped by a technical intervention team, got through the door quickly, though not easily. The suspect had time to throw drugs into the toilet before jumping to a neighbouring building. Officers found him, but he tried to get away again by jumping towards other buildings. They caught and arrested him.

What officers found inside

Police found marijuana, hashish, cocaine, medicines for erectile dysfunction and money. A test in and beside the toilet confirmed, they say, that the suspect had disposed of cocaine just before fleeing.

Investigators also found an illegal electricity connection that had previously been used to grow drugs. The man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, electricity theft and serious disobedience.
