Mallorca drug raids: 200-plus officers in action
Mallorca: more than 200 police and customs officers are carrying out drug raids in Palma’s La Soledad neighbourhood and Marratxí on 6 October 2026. More than ten searches are under way, and investigators expect several arrests. The operation targets an alleged drug-trafficking network concentrated in La Soledad, with a search also taking place in Marratxí.
The National Police and the Spanish Tax Agency’s Customs Surveillance Service are working together on the operation, named Tsunami-Galba. The police team includes investigators from the Balearic Islands, around 50 public order officers from Valencia, technical specialists, air units and dog handlers. Customs units from Madrid and Barcelona are also involved, alongside staff securing the perimeter.
Palma’s local police are helping manage traffic, while the city’s planning department is carrying out technical inspections of the properties under investigation. The searches are continuing; the expected arrests have not yet been reported.
