Mallorca seeks film shoots at 27-country event
Mallorca is bidding for future film shoots: its tourism foundation, the Calvià Film Office and two hotel companies will attend an industry meeting in Valladolid, Spain, on 14 and 15 October. Film location specialists and production professionals from 27 countries are due to take part.
The Mallorcan group includes the Fundació Turisme Responsable de Mallorca, the Calvià Film Office in Calvià, Mallorca, and hotel companies Blau and THB. They will join film-location providers from 12 Spanish regions at Shooting Locations Marketplace, a meeting where locations are put before people planning future productions.
More than 1,500 meetings are on the programme. They will bring location providers together with scouts and production companies that help decide where projects are filmed. Now in its sixth edition, the event is organised by Feria de Valladolid and the Spain Film Commission, with professionals attending from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
