Mallorca's Canyamel sees 67.2% foreign home demand

Foreign demand makes up 67.2% of interest in buying homes in Canyamel, Mallorca, according to Idealista figures published on 28 August 2026. Cala d'Or is close behind at 67.1%, while Cala Ratjada reaches 63.1%. Germans are the biggest overseas market in all three towns.

Across the Balearic Islands, foreign demand accounts for 28.2% of interest in buying property. That puts the islands behind Alicante, at 32.3%, but ahead of Málaga, at 27.1%, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, at 26.5%. Germans, Britons and Dutch buyers are the three main foreign markets overall.

In Canyamel and Cala d'Or, British demand ranks second after Germany, followed by Switzerland. Cala Ratjada has a different order: Swiss demand comes second and British demand third.

Palma ranks second among capitals, with foreign demand at 18.5%. Germans account for 44% of that overseas demand, followed at a distance by Swedes on 11.7% and Britons on 5.9%.
