Officers arrived after reports of a fight involving security staff and customers. Outside the venue, they found the access controller with cuts and abrasions.

Witnesses said staff had challenged a 62-year-old man and his 27-year-old son as they tried to leave with drinks in glass containers. The verbal row then became physical.

Police later found the father and son, both German, at a health centre. They had injuries including a broken nose and facial trauma. The 56-year-old worker was taken to University Hospital Son Espases for medical care before being held in police custody, while the 27-year-old was kept under guard as officers completed the case paperwork.
