Mallorca: Prohens to join Guardia Civil day in Alcúdia

Alcúdia, Mallorca, hosts a ceremony honouring the Guardia Civil’s patron saint, the Virgin of the Pillar, on Saturday, 10 October. Balearic government president Marga Prohens is due to attend, alongside vice-president Antoni Costa and second vice-president Antònia Maria Estarellas.
Before the ceremony, Prohens will take part in an event on palliative care for children. Proyecto Juntos and a team working in paediatric palliative care and complex chronic conditions in children have organised it. Health minister Manuela García will also attend, along with Proyecto Juntos’s Eivissa president Martha Patricia, founder Carlos Ramón and the care team’s coordinator, Susana Jordá Martí.
