Mallorca tops 35ºC as calima and morning fog roll in

Mallorca is forecast to exceed 35ºC on Wednesday, 2 September, as calima haze and morning fog banks reach the Balearic Islands. Skies should be mostly clear or lightly clouded later in the day. The State Meteorological Agency, Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet), says high pressure is keeping conditions stable.
The morning fog may form across the Balearics before clearing. Calima is also expected across Mallorca and the other islands.
Daytime temperatures are set to rise across the Balearics, though the increase will be less marked along the coast. Mediterranean breezes are expected to prevail.
