Mallorca tops 35ºC as heat and calima move in

Temperatures on Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, are set to pass 35ºC on Wednesday as maximums rise. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) also forecasts calima and possible morning fog banks across the Balearics. Skies should be mostly clear or only lightly clouded under high pressure.

The increase in daytime temperatures will be less marked along the coast. Mediterranean breezes are expected, while the weather service says conditions across the islands should remain largely dry.
