Two shutdowns in one morning

The airport stops operations for safety reasons from 10.00 to 11.00. After the storm, workers pump water from several parts of the airfield, prompting a second halt from 11.15 to 12.15, Aena says.

Fallen awning blocks car park access

The storm also causes problems inside the terminal and outside the airport. At the time of the report, a fallen awning blocks access to the P1 car park. One of the two express car park lanes is temporarily out of use, but the other remains open. Work is under way to fix the problems and reopen access to P1.
