Mallorca: Inca puts four landmark venues in music videos
Four Balearic acts are filming music videos at landmark venues in Inca, Mallorca, with the final shoot scheduled for Tuesday. Three clips have already been filmed at La Florida, Ca’s Sereno and Inca train station. Mallorca group Fades will complete the series at Can Delante pastry shop.
Inca Town Hall launched the project, called Inca amb els clàssics, to put the town’s established businesses and notable places before a new audience through music and short films.
Four acts, four settings
Maria Hein filmed at La Florida, while Zulu Zulu used Ca’s Sereno and The Ripples recorded at the train station. Fades will take its turn at Can Delante.
The four acts come from the Balearic Islands and represent different musical styles. Screenwriter, presenter and comedian Maria del Mar Coll will introduce the videos and link each performer with its setting.
Short films for social media
Each film will run for between three and five minutes. Inca Town Hall plans to share them through its own communication channels and social media.
The council says the series is aimed especially at younger residents and visitors, drawing attention to the cultural and heritage value of the venues. City Promotion councillor Miguel Ángel Cortés said music offers a different way to show Inca while keeping its historical, cultural and heritage character in view.
