Manacor mayor election: PP picks Jaume Mut for 2027
Manacor’s 2027 mayoral race begins with the People’s Party (PP) naming Jaume Mut as its candidate. The party unveiled him at its local meeting in Manacor, Mallorca, on Wednesday, 2 September. Mut says he wants to bring change to the town.
He has put cleaning, maintenance, safety, housing and better public services at the heart of his proposed programme. Mut says the months ahead will be spent building a strong team, listening to people in Manacor and learning what concerns them.
Llorenç Galmés, president of the PP in Mallorca and president of the Council of Mallorca, backed Mut at the meeting. He praised the candidate’s leadership, ability to work with a team and commitment to Manacor.
Galmés also pointed to more than 8 million euros invested in Manacor by the Council of Mallorca. Local PP president Mateu Fullana said the party was united behind its new candidate.
Mut thanked supporters and said Manacor had given him a great deal. He said he would keep listening and working in the run-up to the May 2027 municipal election.
