Mallorca’s Royal Palace of La Almudaina opens free on Monday, 12 October. Patrimonio Nacional is offering free entry for Día de la Hispanidad at palaces, museums, monasteries and gardens, all on public-holiday hours. Seven sites will also offer guided tours this year.

The offer includes the royal palaces of La Granja de San Ildefonso, Riofrío and Aranjuez, and the royal monasteries of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Santa Clara de Tordesillas and San Jerónimo de Yuste. Visits keep their usual routes and services and can be booked through the Patrimonio Nacional website.

Madrid’s Royal Palace is the exception: it will be closed for the monarchs’ official reception. Free entry also covers the temporary exhibitions at the Gallery of the Royal Collections, which end the following day.
