Barceló eyes four Madrid sites for first LTN shop
Four shopfronts in northern Madrid, Spain, are in the running for the country’s first L’alianXa Travel Network (LTN) branch. Ávoris, the Barceló Group’s travel arm, hopes to open it for the Fitur tourism fair in January 2027. It is also looking for a busy location in Barcelona and wants to open both branches at the same time, if possible.
Madrid would be the first step in bringing the network to Spain, with Barcelona to follow. LTN is aimed at independent travel agencies that want to offer more Latin American trips and find business between Europe and Latin America. It offers access to negotiated air fares, hotel agreements, tourism suppliers and management tools without agencies giving up their own names or independence.
Ávoris and LTN announced plans earlier this year to expand into Spain and Portugal, the network’s first European markets. LTN has operated for more than 25 years and has more than 250 sales outlets across 22 Latin American countries. Ávoris says there is no news on possible acquisitions.
