Mallorca drug raid: 15 arrested, 14 homes searched
On Mallorca, a drug raid leads to 15 arrests on Tuesday, 6 October, as officers target La Soledad in Palma, Mallorca, and search a property in Marratxí, Mallorca. Those arrested are believed to include a man known as “El Pablo”, his partner and other relatives. Officers search 14 homes and seize cash, drugs, jewellery and vehicles, according to sources cited by Europa Press.
The operation, named Tsunami-Galba, targets a suspected drug-trafficking organisation concentrated in La Soledad. More than 200 officers from Spain’s National Police and the Spanish Tax Agency’s Customs Surveillance Service take part, including around 50 public-order officers brought in from Valencia. Police dog handlers and air units also join the operation.
In Palma, local police manage traffic while the city council’s urban planning department carries out technical inspections of the buildings under investigation.
