Mallorca godfather faces trial over child sexual abuse
Mallorca, Spain: A man accused of sexually abusing his two young godchildren faces trial on Thursday, 22 October 2026. Prosecutors are seeking 11 years in prison. The case is due before the Second Section of the Balearic Islands Provincial Court at 10am.
Prosecutors say the alleged abuse happened between 2015 and 2017, while the man was looking after the children in his motorhome or a country house he owned. They allege he sexually touched his goddaughter, then aged six to seven, at least six times, and his godson, then aged eight to nine, once.
The prosecution also alleges that he showed both children videos of adults performing explicit sexual acts at the house or in the motorhome. It is seeking €13,000 in compensation and has brought two charges of sexual abuse and one of showing pornography to minors.
