Palma, Mallorca: Prosecutors seek nine years in prison for a masseur accused of sexually abusing a client during a session. The Second Chamber of the Balearic Islands Provincial Court hears the case on Friday, 16 October, at 10.00. The alleged incident took place on 30 April 2022.

According to prosecutors, the masseur removed the woman’s underwear and massaged her groin and vagina. She got up from the massage table and confronted him, and he stopped.

Prosecutors say the woman developed an anxiety-depressive disorder that required psychiatric treatment. They accuse the masseur of sexual abuse involving penetration and causing psychological injury. They seek seven years in prison for the first charge and two for the second.

They also seek eight years of supervised release and an order barring him from approaching the woman for 15 years longer than any sentence imposed, if applicable. Prosecutors want him to pay her €6,000 for her injuries and €8,000 for non-material harm.
