Menorca backs farm groups with €105,000 in 2026
Farm organisations on Menorca can share up to €105,000 in support for their work in 2026, including member advice and the handling of agricultural plastic waste. The Island Council of Menorca published the call and its rules in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands on Tuesday, 26 August.
The funding covers costs from 1 January to 31 December 2026. It is €10,000 higher than last year and has been split into two strands for the first time.
Up to €95,000 is available for the organisations’ day-to-day work, with a ceiling of €49,000 for each group. Eligible costs include running the organisation, representing members’ economic and professional interests, publishing printed or digital member media, and helping farms with advice and grant applications.
A further €10,000 is reserved for organising the management of plastic waste from farms. Each farm organisation can receive up to €10,000 through that strand.
Economy and General Services councillor Maria Antònia Taltavull said the groups represent their members’ interests at both island and regional level, helping carry their needs and proposals into public decision-making.
