Formentera migrants: 27 reach island on two boats

Twenty-seven migrants reached Formentera on two boats on Sunday, 30 August, with authorities intercepting the groups at s'Estufador and near the s'Algar torrent. The first group, 15 people from the Maghreb, was intercepted at 11.43am in s'Estufador. Another 12 people from the Maghreb were intercepted at 1pm in the area of the s'Algar torrent.
The Government Delegation said the arrivals involved two separate boats. They followed the rescue of 17 other migrants on Saturday on the southern Pitiuse island.
