The crash happened at about 07.55 on Cardenal Rosell Street, when the motorcycle, carrying two people, left the road on a bend and struck a wall. The owner reported the vehicle stolen on Sunday afternoon after recognising it as his motorcycle.

Palma Local Police's accident investigation unit has opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the crash. Officers are examining whether excessive speed or an outside factor played a part; several patrols and a drone unit attended the scene to record aerial images for the reconstruction.
