The 092 emergency control room received a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a car. The caller said the rider was lying on the road but was conscious.

Officers from the Accident Vehicle Unit, known by its Spanish initials UVAC, examined the scene and took witness statements. They say the rider had been overtaking other road users, repeatedly changing lanes and zigzagging through traffic.

As a car correctly moved towards the lane on its right, the motorcycle struck its rear right-hand side. The impact damaged the car's door and wing mirror. The rider lost control, fell onto the road and slid into a second car parked nearby, causing slight damage.

Emergency crews treated the man at the scene before taking him by ambulance to a health centre for assessment and treatment. Breath tests for all drivers involved were negative. UVAC has filed its report and is continuing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
