Mallorca’s new university plans reach Prohens

Mallorca’s new university is the focus of a meeting in Palma on Friday, when Balearic president Marga Prohens receives its rector, Pere Riutord. The audience at the Consolat de Mar starts at 13.00 and will also include Diego González, president of the university’s governing council, and Education and Universities minister Antoni Vera.
Riutord and González will set out progress in launching the University of Mallorca, known as UMAC-Adema, and outline the main direction of its academic project. The Balearic Government announced the meeting.
They are also due to discuss how the university project will develop, including its strategy for research, innovation and internationalisation.
