Palma names new health chief after director quits

Palma City Hall is set to appoint Cristina Chinchilla Bauzá as its new director general for health, consumer affairs, markets and fairs on Wednesday. She replaces Maria del Carmen Esparza, who has resigned for personal reasons. Palma’s Cort governing board is due to approve the appointment.
The directorate sits within the City Hall area responsible for public service, citizen security, civic conduct, the natural environment, healthy environments and markets.
Born in 1996, Chinchilla Bauzá has held several administrative posts, including one at Calvià 2000. She has studied business administration and management.
