Palma, Mallorca knife attack: woman flees to neighbour

Palma, Mallorca: A man faces trial on Friday, 16 October, accused of trying to kill his wife with a knife before she escaped to a neighbour’s home. The attack happened in December 2025 at the home they shared, according to the prosecution. The Second Chamber of the Provincial Court hears the case at 09.45, with prosecutors seeking two years in prison.

The couple had been arguing over the use of a mobile phone. Prosecutors say the man picked up a knife and threatened that his wife would not leave the home alive. When she tried to go, he stabbed her in several parts of her body. She broke free and took refuge with a neighbour.

The man has admitted what happened. He has deposited 2,000 euros and paid the woman a further 5,500 euros directly.
