Palma approves four police vehicles for over €164,000
Palma, Mallorca, is buying four vehicles for its local police at a cost of more than €164,000. Two will replace cars used by the radar unit. The city council’s governing board approved the purchase on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
The two compact Subaru Crosstreks cost more than €78,000 together. An electric Opel Combo van for the workshop section costs more than €35,000, while a Subaru Solterra police off-road vehicle costs more than €51,000.
Council spokeswoman Mercedes Celeste said the purchase is part of a €6 million budget for local police investment. The council says the vehicles will give officers better resources for their public safety work.
