More than 600 planned homes in Son Puigdorfila, Palma, Mallorca, are set to get a new road: the city’s urban planning department approves a change to its development plan on Tuesday, 13 October. The planned Pensament Street would link the housing site to the existing road network, the city says.

The agreement proposes that the Son Puigdorfila project’s compensation board pay for the road. The board’s formation was approved last week. More than half the homes are planned with some form of protected status.

The department has also authorised a building with 196 homes at the former Son Simonet barracks in Palma. Its plans include three ground-floor commercial units, 297 parking spaces and 132 storage rooms on basement levels.
