Staff at DomusVi Palma, a care home in Palma, Mallorca, will hold their third protest in recent weeks on Friday over staff shortages and heavy workloads. The gathering is due to run from 10.45am to 11.30am outside the home, next to Hospital Palmaplanas. CCOO, UGT and FOL support the action.

At the previous protest, workers said their staffing problems had still not been solved. They called for enough permanent staff in every department, saying they are repeatedly left to work at their limit, take on extra duties and finish shifts physically and emotionally exhausted.

Sources on the works committee say the company has still not considered or assessed staff proposals aimed at solving the problem. Workers say they will continue to call protests unless there is progress.
