A fight breaks out at Plaza Mayor in Palma, Mallorca, on Saturday, 17 October: police separate antifascists from members of the neo-Nazi group Núcleo Nacional. The confrontation starts beside the group’s information stand.

The Coordinadora Antifeixista de Mallorca had called for action against the stand before its location was known. Once it learns where the stand is, it calls a protest for 12.00. Police have already cordoned off much of the square, where numerous tourists are passing.

An argument turns into a fight when antifascists cross the cordon and approach Núcleo Nacional members. Riot police use batons to separate the groups, then reinforce the cordon. Officers tell Núcleo Nacional to take down its stand. Antifascists chant as the group withdraws; some of its members give the fascist salute. No one is arrested, and no officers are injured.
