Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, could see PSOE and MÉS per Mallorca on the same Senate ticket: the parties are discussing joint candidates across four islands. Both confirmed the talks to Europa Press on 11 October 2026. Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera are also in the plans.

The parties want to win five of the six Senate seats elected across the islands through open-list voting. Formentera will elect its own senator for the first time at this election.

Diario de Mallorca reported on Sunday that the talks were nearly complete, with candidates still to be chosen. Both parties insist that no agreement has been reached. They have until 16 October to declare an electoral coalition. Any deal involving MÉS per Mallorca would need approval from its executive and then confirmation at a party assembly.

A joint left-wing list won a Senate seat on Eivissa in 2023. The parties hope to repeat that approach there and extend it to other islands, including Formentera.
