Torres joins PSOE race for Santa Eulària mayor

Víctor Torres Pérez has entered the PSOE primary contest to become its candidate for mayor of Santa Eulària, Ibiza, in the 2027 elections. He announced his decision on Thursday, 3 September.

Torres says he wants to unite Santa Eulària’s socialist movement behind one candidacy and win public trust. His focus, he said, is on the kind of municipality Santa Eulària is becoming and the difficulties people face when trying to build a life there.

He blamed years of speculation, unchecked growth and the interests of a few for the situation. Torres called for a change in municipal priorities, saying Santa Eulària should serve its people rather than become a product for investors.

The socialist said his campaign would bring ideas, experience and a strong commitment to public services.
