Mallorca: Two R2 hotels to open in Peguera in 2027
Mallorca’s Peguera is set for two R2 hotel openings in 2027: a 54-apartment complex in March and a 215-room resort in May. Mallorca-based Summum Hotel Group said on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, that it had added R2 Ponent and R2 Peguera Park to its joint portfolio with R2 Hotels, part of German travel group Schauinsland-Reisen.
R2 Ponent will sit by the sea between two Peguera beaches. R2 Peguera Park will be a four-star resort aimed mainly at families and couples.
The additions follow an agreement Summum and R2 Hotels reached in early 2026. Summum now has 47 hotels in its portfolio, including 42 in operation and five in development. R2 Hotels currently has 11 properties across Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Mallorca.
