Rafa Nadal watches tournament action in Manacor
Rafael Nadal took his seat in the stands at the central court of his academy in Manacor, Mallorca, on Thursday to watch the Rafa Nadal Open by Movistar. The former player followed the match between Iñaki Montes de la Torre and Dani Rincón.
Rincón arrives as the tournament’s defending champion and is a player at the Rafa Nadal Academy. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, where Nadal won his first titles as a professional.
The tournament has been held in Manacor since 2018. This edition also features Rafa Nadal Academy players Ivan Ivanov of Bulgaria and Slovenia’s Ziga Sesko, alongside Rincón. Organisers say all three have won a junior Grand Slam title.
Away from the court, the tournament offers food, music and activities for children and families throughout the week.
