Menorca rissaga warning: orange alert on Monday
The Balearic Islands emergency service 112 has activated an orange rissaga alert for Menorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, for Monday. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has also issued an orange warning, forecasting sea-level fluctuations of up to 1.2 metres.
The warning is scheduled to begin at 09.00 and is expected to remain in force throughout Monday. The emergency service alert and Aemet warning follow forecasts of significant changes in sea level around the island.
