Pedro Rosselló takes Mallorca tourism director role

Pedro Rosselló takes over Mallorca’s tourism offer and quality directorate on 1 September, replacing Clara del Moral when she retires. The Palma-born lawyer will become the Consell de Mallorca’s island tourism director. Tourism councillor Guillem Ginard says the department will keep pushing tourism policy and action against illegal offers.

Rosselló has worked as a lawyer for more than 25 years and has his practice in Manacor. He also brings more than two decades in public and institutional management.

He was deputy mayor of Manacor and councillor for environment and interior from 2007 to 2011. He then served as general secretary of the Institut Balear de la Natura, or Ibanat, between 2011 and 2015.

Rosselló was mayor of Manacor from 2015 to 2017. He later returned as first deputy mayor and environment councillor in 2018 and 2019, before sitting on the Consell de Mallorca as an elected Partido Popular representative from 2019 to 2023.

Ginard also thanked Del Moral for her work and commitment during her time in the post.
