Mallorca leads as Balearic self-supply sites hit 29,525
Mallorca has the largest share of the Balearics’ 29,525 self-supply power installations connected to Endesa’s distribution network. Palma, Mallorca, alone has more than 4,100, the highest total for any municipality. Endesa reported the figures on Friday, 9 October 2026.
Palma leads on Mallorca
Marratxí and Calvià follow Palma. Llucmajor and Manacor each have more than 1,000 connected installations. Elsewhere in the Balearics, Ciutadella leads on Menorca and Sant Josep de sa Talaia leads on Ibiza. Formentera has more than 300.
2,991 connections added in nine months
Across the Balearics, 2,991 installations joined the network in the first nine months of 2026. That puts the total 12.9% above its level at the end of 2025.
Of the installations now connected, 26,628 serve individual users. The other 2,897 are shared self-supply systems: several consumers use power from the same installation.
