Mallorca: Emaya clears rubbish build-up in Son Gotleu
Emaya crews cleared a build-up of rubbish, waste and bulky items from Calle Francesc Julià in Son Gotleu, Palma, on Thursday afternoon. The special clean-up targeted a spot where all kinds of discarded material had accumulated. Palma City Council reported the operation on 28 August 2026.
The municipal company says it has been stepping up its usual cleaning shifts for some time, while also sending extra teams to areas where they are most needed. The reinforcement programme Palma a punt also plays a key part in those clean-ups.
Alongside the work, Emaya uses environmental inspectors in neighbourhoods across Palma to identify and penalise improper dumping of waste. The company also runs information and educational activities in schools and at information stands in different parts of the city.
