Spain is setting aside €3.36 million for tourism campaigns abroad in the first four months of 2027. The money comes from funds left over from 2026, so Spain’s overseas tourism offices can begin work without waiting for the usual payment process. The Council of Ministers approved the advance funding in Madrid, Spain, on Tuesday, 13 October.

The offices plan press trips, digital campaigns and presentations for travel agents in major markets that send tourists to Spain. Professional training, market research and work with tour operators are also planned.

The government hopes the campaigns will attract tourists earlier, spread travel across more of the year and draw it to different parts of Spain. It says the funding will also keep more than 2,600 promotional activities going. The offices agree those activities each year with autonomous communities, local authorities and international partners.
