Mallorca stabbing: woman in intensive care, man remanded
In Palma, Mallorca, a woman remains in intensive care after a stabbing at her home on Friday night. Her 61-year-old partner is suspected of stabbing her in the abdomen at about 21.45 on Arxiduc Lluís Salvador street, near the bullring. On Sunday, a Palma court remanded him in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide.
The man called the emergency services himself and told them what he had done. A Palma Local Police patrol reached the home first and gave the woman initial care. Paramedics then stabilised her and took her to Son Espases Hospital.
