On the Balearic island of Ibiza, a storm halts classes at island council nurseries and closes vehicle inspection stations on 19 October 2026. The driving test centre also closes, but people with vehicle inspection appointments can attend in the coming weeks without booking again, the Ibiza Island Council says.

All activities at Llar Eivissa are suspended. Its meal service will be offered later if conditions allow. The day centre at Hospital Residencia de Cas Serres stops admitting external users, while the Island Library of Cas Serres remains closed until further notice. Es Raspallar, Blancadona and the Sant Rafel hippodrome are closed too.

The council says it is following instructions from an emergency coordination centre overseen by the Balearic government's Directorate General for Emergencies. Non-essential council staff are staying home to avoid unnecessary journeys. The registration office is keeping only minimum face-to-face services open; the council recommends using its online portal or the telephone for administrative matters.
