Palma tourism innovation forum backs female talent
Women working in tourism and technology will meet at Can Tàpera in Palma, Mallorca, on 23 September 2026 for a free tourism innovation forum. The event brings together professionals, entrepreneurs and students, with limited places available through advance registration. The Balearic Islands’ Ministry of Economy, Finance and Innovation is organising the day.
Running from 09.00 to 14.15 at the Sa Nostra Foundation venue, the forum aims to put women in the islands’ tourism-technology sector in the spotlight and create professional and business opportunities.
Mentoring and women-led projects
Experienced professionals will join mentoring sessions with emerging talent. The programme also includes meetings with figures from tourism and technology, plus a showroom of ideas and projects led by women.
Womenalia, a professional network for Spanish-speaking women, is delivering the event. It will bring its experience of connecting and supporting entrepreneurs, professionals and senior women managers.
Focus on AI and data
Artificial intelligence, data and sustainability will be central to the forum. Organisers say these areas are reshaping tourism in the Balearic Islands and increasing the need for qualified people to lead the change.
The event is part of the regional government’s push to link talent, businesses, technology and strategic sectors as tourism changes.
